Delete your account
Knightlings is a game by Hernas OÜ (registered in Estonia), Kentmanni 4, 10116 Tallinn, Estonia (“we”). This page says how to delete your Knightlings account and what happens when you do.
In the game
- Open Settings → Account → Delete account (or Delete account… on the character list).
- Type DELETE.
- Enter the code we send to your account’s email. If the account has no email we can reach (Apple’s Hide My Email with forwarding off, or an Apple or Google sign-in without an email), choose Confirm with Apple (or Google) and sign in with the same account again instead of entering a code.
Your account is deleted at once. There is nothing to undo.
Without the game
Write to privacy@knightlings.com from the email address of your account and ask us to delete it. We delete it within 30 days and tell you when it is done. If you signed in only with Apple or Google, write from the address Apple or Google shares with us, or tell us how to recognise the account.
What is deleted at once
- your account and its email address and birth year;
- every knightling on it, with its items, plots and progress;
- your sign-in sessions and settings;
- your push notification tokens;
- your Apple and Google sign-in links (we also ask Apple and Google to forget the sign-in).
What is kept
- A moderation record (for example a ban), without your name or email, so a deleted account cannot be used to dodge it.
- Reports: reports you filed lose your note and the chat lines they held. A report about you that a moderator has not yet decided stays open, with its chat lines and an account number instead of your name, until it is decided; then its chat lines go.
- Server logs with your IP address age out within 30 days.
- An audit record that an account was deleted (its number and how many knightlings it had, never your name or email).
- Game economy and market records that carry a number instead of your name (what was traded, found or spent), kept up to 90 days for balancing the game.
- Sign-in codes and links we stored only in scrambled form; they go within a day.
Accounts nobody signs into for 3 years are deleted the same way. We try to email you once, 30 days before (if your address cannot receive it, the account is deleted 30 days after we tried); signing in keeps the account.
